BORO 2-1 LEIGH RMI: Nuneaton made hard work of their 2-1 win over an injury ravaged Leigh side at Manor Park. Boro took early control of the game but it took until the 39th minute for Mark McGregor to put them into the lead when he headed home an Alexander Sykes corner. Leigh applied the pressure from the start of the second half and the extra effort soon told when Ian Monk knocked the ball home to restore parity in the 68th minute. Dino Maamria came close to stealing a Mechanics win after 80 minutes but an 84th minute goal from Lee Charles wrapped up the three points for the home side.

NORTHWICH 3-0 BORO: There was just two minutes on the clock when it began to go wrong. Warren Peyton had missed a great chance after just 30 seconds, but did not take it, and a minute later, Boro were 1-0 down. Terry Angus handled in the area, and although there was no appeal from either the Northwich players or crowd, the penalty was awarded. Barnard easily sent MacKenzie the wrong way, 1-0 to Northwich.
It then went from bad to worse. Some of the fotball played by Boro was woeful. It was all hump it up in the air type of football, none of the precision passing football played against Hereford and Dover, which now seems ages ago. Northwich's player manager Jimmy Quinn got a second after half an hour, and then the third just after half time, when Terry Angus just seemed to stand there and watch as Quinn piled on the misery for Boro. That was 3-0, and that was game set and match.
Boro did have a chance to restore some pride, when Angus was fouled in the area, but Marc McGregor's penalty was more like a passback to the keeper - an abysmal penalty. That was the only shot on target the Boro had all game, it was difficult to stand there and watch it.
For the record, the roll of shame includes Jason Peake, Marc McGregor, Steve Whitehall, and Terry Angus more than the others. Those four are the backbone of the side, definately the ones who we know can do better. If somebody like Jamie Williams, or Richard Lavery are in the side, and do not play well, that is not their fault, because they are not good enough for this league, they tried their best but it wasn't good enough. That's where Steve Burr is at fault, as he picks the team. But Peake, McGregor, Whitehall and Angus, and quite possibly Thackeray, Love and Peyton, they can do much better than that, they should be ashamed of that lowly performance, and we demand an improvement for the visit of Leigh RMI on Tuesday. I hope that Steve Burr gave them the bollocking of their lives after that, because we do not want to see it again. Ever. MATCH REPORT COURTESY OF TTMRB: www.tothemanorreborn.com

BORO 1-2 YEOVIL: Boro today lost their 100 percent home record as they lost 2-1 to Yeovil Town. From the off Boro seemed to control the game at their own pace and after only 6 minutes Marc McGregor struck the woodwork. With Sky TV watching and various scouts from league clubs this was Maccas chance to impress and he did very early on in the game. 5 minutes later and the tables had turned. Boro were chasing shadows and Yeovils Ramsay hit the woodwork from a header. Mid way through the first half Yeovil should have been one up, but a great save at waist height from Chris MacKenzie denied Crittenden his first goal of the season. Aftre the break Yoevil started where they picked up and on 68 minutes they took the lead through Carl Alford. Substitute Barrington Belgrave made a lovely touch down to McIndoe who crossed the ball to Alford who made no mistake from 8 yards. Alford then came close once again, Chris MacKenzie was well beaten but luckily saw his posy keep the ball out of the net. Yeovil then doubled the deficit 15 minutes from time, when Belgrave finished a well worked move. There was still hope for the Boro when Weaver was fouled in the area, the penalty was struck by McGregor who made no mistake and placed the ball to the keepers right. Boro continued to put pressure of the visiting side but they failed to get a late equaliser which would have been harsh on Yeovil.

BORO 3-0 DOVER:
Boro have put another three points on the board after thrashing Dover Athletic three-nil at home. An under par Dover side, who are yet to record a point in their campaign defended from the off. Short passes in their own half got them no where and Chris MacKenzie was never troubled. Boro, who had many chances in the first half, just couldnt beat Hyde who made an excellent reflex save on the half-hour mark. Marc McGregor could have had a hat trick by half time but was denied each and every time by Dovers no.1. Thackeray also nearly scored just before the break, but his effort were cancelled out by an off the line clearance from Shearer. Boro took the lead through Steve Whitehall McGregor linked up with the former Chester City front runner, who had plenty of time to slot the ball past Hyde to record his first Boro goal since joining in pre-season. Sykes then doubled the deficit on 77 minutes, he was picked out by Peyton, before firing home a volley at the far post. The Cock and Bear stand was buzzing and were ecstatic when they saw club captain Andy Thackeray get his name on the score sheet thick into injury time. The former Halifax defender buried the ball in the back of the net after following up a shot from Steve Whitehall.

BORO 2-0 HEREFORD:
Boro have collected there first three points of the season with a convincing win over Hereford Utd. This high tempo and very eventful game consisted of two goals and a sending off. Boro took the lead through Andy Thackeray on 20 minutes. Good link up play by McGregor and Sykes fed Andy Thackeray with a deep cross, which he fired home on the volley. Hereford failed to compose their selves and 10 minutes later Boro almost found them selves two goals to the good when Marc McGregors header came close to beating Utd keeper Baker. Boro came out after the break attacking the Cock and Bear and soon doubled the deficit through a penalty that was converted by the man who earnt it, who else but Marc McGregor. He cooley beat the keeper who could do nothing but foul him to prevent him from scoring,. The foul was undoubtedly worth a red card as McGregor was through with no one else to beat. As Baker left the field, Parry did so with him to give way for Substitute keeper Lee Evans, unlike the comedian who shares his name he wasnt laughing as his first involvement in the game was conceding a well-tucked away penalty by Marc McGregor. That was the end of the action and Boro managed to hold on by keeping their first clean sheet of the season.

MORECAMBE 1-0 BORO: Ah well, theres always next year! To be honest we really didnt play that badly, if it wasnt for two booking which shouldnt have been, that Jamie Williams received I seemed pretty confident we could pull it back. Despite looking good in midfield and up front we were some what shaky at the back, Morecambe scored just before half time, the three centre halves were non-existent, a good ball from Stringfellow found Talbot who fired past a stranded MacKenzie. Alex Sykes had Boro best oppertunies one mid way the first half where he failed to make good enough connection to beat Morecambes keeper Mawson and a clear chance in the second which he fired straight at an ideal height for the goal keeper. A disappointing result yet the performance was not.
